http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I was curious if anyone on the forum has gotten a Logitech Quick Cam Orbit MP to work with fedora and how they got it to work. I plugged it in and used 'Cheese' but it did not detect my camera, so what I need is a driver. I found a site that may have the answer I am looking for: http://www.vanheusden.com/setpwc/ It is software that says it is compatible with my camera. It also refers to the pwc driver, saying that if your camera is compatible with this driver then you should have no trouble running the software. http://www.saillard.org/linux/pwc/ Below is the link to the file I think I need to compile, it is the file pwc-10.0.12-rc1.tar.bz2. http://www.saillard.org/linux/pwc/files/ What I am wondering is, will this driver would work for my camera. Could someone with a little more experience in this area look over what I've found and give me a little insight. I am unsure if this driver will work and am unsure of what will happen if i try to install it and it doesn't work. If someone does have the same camera, could you please let me know how you got fedora to recoginze it? The below link says the driver works with orbit/sphere but doesn't specify if it supports the MP or AF . Any thoughts? http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/vi...WebcamsWithPWC (HowTos)
