I copied all the contents of a hard drive to another. It wont boot of it though. I need it to.
I deleted a partition and used a data recovery, The files i copied were the recovered ones. It recovered EVERY file.
I have Recovered data after accidental deletion onto a hard drive using Stellar Phoenix then copied this root file back on to the iMac YOSEMITE BETA 10.10, my sons gaming folders appear all in bits, the files that are recovered are tiff, Pngs, jpegs, mp4s, docx, plists etc how do I put them together again?
I want to install a new operating system. Neither want to write the installer ISO to DVD, nor to USB flash drive but to a partition on the HDD itself.
I have done it before: I created a bootable USB flash drive through one of the many tools available (Rufus, UNetbootin etc.). Then I copied the contents of the flash drive to a partition on my hard drive. Then sudo update-grub on my Linux Mint.
