Hi, I've been using ndiswrapper and kmod-ndiswrapper since kernel-2.6 which have automatically been integrated in each kernel update.
Hi
I have been running F11 for some time now. I install updates regularly and to this time have had no issues. Now it comes up with error.
Code:
[root@red 2305 ~]
$ yum update
Loaded plugins: protectbase, refresh-packagekit
0 packages excluded due to repository protections
Setting up Update Process
Resolving Dependencies
Just a heads up for people with ndiswrapper problems (I crawled the Ubuntu forum and didn't really find this; the info was aggregated from several other sites.)
If you're using an older version of ndiswrapper, and you have the gui AND the program interface (and ndiswrapper even shows that the hardware is attached) but when you modprobe, you're getting this:
FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found
My systems are getting an dep resolution error when trying to do a yum update:
[root@compaq tylerm]# yum update
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Setting up Update Process
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package dhclient.x86_64 12:4.1.0p1-4.fc11 set to be updated
Hi,
I'm trying to install ndiswrapper and get:
[chrispche@localhost ndiswrapper-1.55]$ make uninstall
which: no loadndisdriver in (/usr/lib/qt-3.3/bin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/home/chrispche/bin)
I am running F11 64-bit and my smolt hardware profile is:
http://www.smolts.org/client/show/pu...2-0d62b961fdcd
When I installed F11 all worked well, but then as I updated kernels, the mouse stopped working.
How do I go about removing the old f11 rpm stuff after an upgrade? I have several packages from fc11 that are newer than what is on the fc12 (probably because of updates), so several things still show up as fc11. Why isn't the fc12 updated at least to the newest or newer stuff in fc11?
I have been having trouble with firefox3.5 on my x86_64 FC11 install for a month now...firefox freezes my pc. So I used yum to remove firefox. Now I'm wondering if I could just use another rpm for firefox...could I use the 32 bit version safely? I found the rpm and started doing a local install with yum but it wants these dependencies:
Hello,
I have installed last updates about 3 days ago. After this Fedora kernel 2.6.30.9-99.fc11.x86_64 does not start. When I am booting it the last message I see "ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP):wlan0: link is not ready" then it stops. I have to boot with a previous kernel version 2.6.30.9-96.fc11.x86_64.
Could anybody help me to solve this problem?
Thank you,
