http://askubuntu.com – When I startup my Ubuntu 11.10 computer, the icons of files I have on the Desktop do not appear, instead I'm getting a blank white icon and when I open the Home Folder, NO graphics appear on the navigation window at all. After I use the command nautilus -q and then nautilus and then leave the terminal and open the Home Folder again, the problem is solved up until the next restart. In the terminal I get this when I type nautilus: (nautilus:2440): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_value_get_object: assertion `G_VALUE_HOLDS_OBJECT (value)' failed (HowTos)
