Try command locale.Maybe changing LC_NUMERIC and LC_MONETARY to another language in /etc/locale.conf, it works as you want.Don't forget launch locale-gen.https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Locale

Sounds like a locale issue.  Look into the relevant files ( /etc/locale.gen /etc/locale.conf ) and the locale command.

1. The old installer was no longer maintained; the new one is cleaner and more consistent with the Arch Way.2. Have you set up your locale in /etc/locale.gen and then run locale-gen as per the wiki?

Try es_CL.UTF-8  (utf-8 is case sensitive).

Please post the output of 'locale' and 'locale -a'.You might need to set LC_ALL.

May I ask what the expected behaviour is for a locale like de_AT which has very few translated messages available? I'm asking because I would like to set my default language to cy but I've been afraid to as I didn't know what effect that might have. (I'm not sure how to tell it to fall back to X i.e.
