I've noticed that my wife's screen doesn't always turn off after she puts it down. She'll leave it at the home screen and set it down. I look at it a couple minutes later and it is still displaying the screen. I've changed the time out settings to as little as 15 seconds and it is still on a minute later.

I have 176 apps on my almost-one-year-old phone. And I've probably installed and then uninstalled another 50 to 100.
Does this seem like a lot?
And, does Android work like Windows in that most programs leave orts when they're uninsulated, and, eventually, all that garbage clogs up the system and slows it down? I've noticed that, in the last few days, my SIII has indeed had weird little delays.
Hello,This is a glitch that I've experienced on Statler as well as Waldorf:Sometimes, after my laptop screen has gone dark because of idleness, and I try to "revive" it by pressing a few random keys, the screen only goes from black to really dark, so that I can barely make out the windows I had open.
Hii,
First off, I'm running a F17 KDE X64 on my laptop, and I tend to keep it as up to date as I can manage.
There's something I noticed the other day... I have a usb (LED) lamp that I use to illuminate my keyboard when I work in the dark. I'd left my laptop idling for long enough that it went to sleep, but the USB light was still on.
Is this normal behaviour?
I use awesome off to turn my pad on and off so I don't have to use the power switch all the time. I always do this so I don't have to go through the whole boot up process when I want to use it. I noticed that when I wake up in the morning the pad is dead or almost dead. Is there a better way to put this to sleep at night? There is always so much stuff running that kills the battery.
I have been looking for a new alarm clock, one that is smart and will wake me up when I am not in a deep sleep at all. I looked on Google play and found some apps that do just this. But most, if not all of them require me to start the app, and leave the tablet on all night. With the screen on, but dimmed to a low point.
I've noticed over the last few days that the connectivityservice wakelock seems high. Eg so far today its running at c.24mins and over 3100 counts from 12 hrs up time. I can't say if this is a new situation as i don't check wake locks that often.
The phone does seem to be deep sleep OK and I do also use juice defender to control the radio/wifi. Maybe this is a trade off from using jd. ?
I've noticed that the more time passes since I installed the system the more unresponsive it gets. Booting up takes for ever, login screen loads slow, logging in takes about 3-4 seconds, when first launching dash it takes about 4-5 seconds until it shows up and I don't even want to mention starting up apps..
