I and currently running Mythbuntu 12.04.03 .25 and had Mythbuntu 25.30 as my theme
I updated to .27 so I will still get Schedule Direct data. Only problem is that I updated
to the new Mythbuntu theme I thinks it now 28.something. The new theme has huge fonts
and can't see a lot of items as they are now pushed off the screen.
I have been a user of W7 MCE for quite a bit now, and I want to shift to Mythbuntu. I have Limited experience with the setup process. Mythbuntu is installed on my ,machine and I have read the Hauppague HVR 1600, wiki, but it is like another language to me. Does someone have am easy to understand method for setting up two HVR 1600 cards for Mythbuntu for a complete newbie like me?
Hi everyone. I having a hard time trying to get the frontend of mythtv in 12.04 to connect to the backend. The frontend continues to restart all the time. How do connect the two ends together? I want to use the backend to record the tv shows and the frontend to watch them. Unfortunately, i can't get into the frontend. The backend is on a 32 bit machine and the frontend is on a x64 box.
Having trouble with a new mythbuntu install as frontend and backend. I believe I have the backend setup correctly. I've configured a HDHomeRun Prime and successfully scanned for and added channels. However, when I select watch tv on the frontend, the screen only flashes a "please wait" for a split second before returning to the menu.
Hi all, I've recently started a project trying to use mythbuntu as a HTPC PVR solution. I have successfully installed the OS and have a pretty base level understanding of linux.
So far all I know is that to connect Mythmote (android remote control app for Mythbuntu front end) to Mythbuntu, you must enable remote connections in MythTV and then put your PC's IP address into the remote.
