MythTV, a Digital Video Recorder and home media center hub featuring automatic commercial detection/skipping, intelligent schedules recordings, parental control, remote administration, and many more other functions, is now at version 0.25.
The developers of MythTV have implemented a lot of changes and updates in this version, despite the small numbering difference.
I have ubuntu 12.04 64-bit and am trying to install MythTV to watch an HDHomeRun Tuner. Trying to install from the Software Package Manager I get a Package Dependencies Can Not Be Resolved Error. Details states that the following packages have unmet dependencies.
I am going to describe my current architecture and then explain what my potential problem is at the end.
I have a dedicated MythTV backend running Mythbuntu 12.04 with MythTV 0.25-fixes. I currently only have one HD-PVR connected to a Dish VIP211k HD receiver. I have 3 frontends all running Mythbuntu 12.04 & MythTV 0.25-fixes.
Hello peoples; my Myth backend still runs the old (yet stable and WORKING!) version 0.21.
I want to put the front-end onto Fedora11 but all I can find in Add/Remove Software is v.22, which is not compatible :(
How can I get the older front-end?
Do I need to upgrade my back-end (if so, would I loose settings, recordings etc)?
Thanks!
I am running Mythbuntu 12.04 for my MythTV HTPC setup. Everything works great with the HDMI 7.1 surround sound and video except for MAME. How can I configure MAME to use the HDMI sound output on the NVidia Geforce 600 video card? The sound is configured on the MythTV as ALSA:hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=1. Audacity lists it as HDA NVidia: HDMI 0 (hw:1,3).
I have the last pre unity Ubuntu running Mythtv with 2 tuner cards on a gigabit connection.. I have a spare hard drive that would like to do a fresh install of latest ubuntu 12.10 and add mythtv to it.
OK, as you can guess from the thread title a few things need some fixin'!
I'm not running mythbutu but this still seemed the best place to post.
Ubuntu 12.04 and mythtv (the one from the software center) and a Pinnacle Dazzle DVC100. I have the video set up and can view the video in mythtv but for I can't figure out how to get the audio. When using tvtime I get both video and sound so I know sound works.
I need to know if anyone has successfully gotten sound to work using the EVGA-GeForce GT 520 video card connected with HDMI to an hd tv on any flavor of linux on any desktop.
It matters not what flavor of linux you used. I just want to know if it works for someone. If so I'll give it another shot but for now I don't think the sound is working in Linux for this card.
