Hi all,
I have a combined FE/BE running Mythbuntu 12.04 and Myth 0.25 - latest fixes.
First I mounted my nas to FE/BE via smbnetfs - most run fine, but some DVD's don't.
I figured out, that this was a problem of rights, so I changed to cifs-mount in fstab with full rights to mythtv-user:

Even though I have checked the boxes, in general settings audio page, for digital in mythtv's audio setup, my receiver only indicates it is getting a prologic signal via the spdif cable.

Hello peoples; my Myth backend still runs the old (yet stable and WORKING!) version 0.21.
I want to put the front-end onto Fedora11 but all I can find in Add/Remove Software is v.22, which is not compatible :(
How can I get the older front-end?
Do I need to upgrade my back-end (if so, would I loose settings, recordings etc)?
Thanks!
Just ran the software Ubuntu Tweaks to clean up some cruft after moving from mythbuntu 11.04 to mythbuntu 12.04.
Went to start myth again and got the frontend country/language screen and the message that it couldn't find the backend.
Just looked and noticed that mysql and mythbackend didn't get started on boot.
Since your phone is always in your pocket, why not use it as a remote control for your home theater system? IR blasters will be on a number of phones this year and the HTC One happens to be “one” of them. But controlling your TV, cable/satellite box, and AV receiver is just part of it.
I am going to describe my current architecture and then explain what my potential problem is at the end.
I have a dedicated MythTV backend running Mythbuntu 12.04 with MythTV 0.25-fixes. I currently only have one HD-PVR connected to a Dish VIP211k HD receiver. I have 3 frontends all running Mythbuntu 12.04 & MythTV 0.25-fixes.
I have posted some issues that I am having with connecting a Myth and Win 7 computers. The Myth computer is wireless and the Win 7 is connected to the router via ethernet. I originally solved the problems with connecting the 2. I entered IFCON to obtain the address of the Myth computer. After a reboot of both machines, I could not connect.
The following snippet from the backend log shows this error sequence;
Channel(/dev/video1) Error: SetInputAndFormat(1, PAL-BG)
while setting format (v4l v2)
eno: Invalid argument (22)
Channel(/dev/video1): SetInputAndFormat() failed
The capture card is a Hauppage 2200 analogue/digital and I seem to have compiled the drivers OK as the card can be tuned to the local analogue station
