Hey all,
I have been a user of W7 MCE for quite a bit now, and I want to shift to Mythbuntu. I have Limited experience with the setup process. Mythbuntu is installed on my ,machine and I have read the Hauppague HVR 1600, wiki, but it is like another language to me. Does someone have am easy to understand method for setting up two HVR 1600 cards for Mythbuntu for a complete newbie like me?
The digital side of my hvr-1600 works, can find and receive cable, some but not all, unencrypted channels but the analog side does not seem to be detected. The digital side is detected as an Samsung S5H1409 QAM/ Subtype ATSC at /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 DVB DTV Capture Card (v3.x).
I've got a mythtv setup and am using 2 digital capture cards and an analog, all of them have been working fine for a little over a year.
just recently the SCART - RCA cable going from the foxtel to the Haupagge PVR 150 card stopped working so we went and got a new cable.
I am running the fully up to date Mythbuntu. I have both pm-suspend and s2ram working now (have to rmmod v4l2_common before suspend for the computer to wake up, and then modprobe once it has started) but my Hauppauge HVR-1600 PCI tuner card will not wake up. All the /dev files (video0, video24, radio0, frontend0) are missing after waking up from suspend. Everything works fine after a reboot.
I'm totally new to MythTV and DIY PVR systems, but comfortable with Linux (not an expert). I have a fresh installation of Mythbuntu 12.04.1 (32-bit) and I just installed my Hauppauge WinTV HVR-2250 TV tuner card into the computer. How do I get it detected and set up in MythTV?
P.S. - This machine will serve as a backend for the XBMC clients I have set up throughout my house.
I am running Mythbuntu 12.04. I have an HVR-1800 card and an HVR-950Q. After installing Mythbuntu, I set up my cards and everything worked well. I added the xc5000.conf file to /etc/modprobe.d to correctly load the firmware for the 950. I recorded several shows and rebooted a few times. Everything worked correclty. Then I decided to install the k3b and k9copy applications.
Hello!
I hope someone here will be able to help! I'm having a problem with audio over HDMI with mythbuntu 12.04 64bit and only stereo sound works. I decided to build a new machine so I've only been working with this a few days and this is all new to me.
My Setup:
* MSI z77ma-g45 mobo with: HDMI out, core i3 cpu with integrated HD4000 graphics, and realtek ALC892 sound on board.
Ran a fresh install of Mythbuntu 12.04.1 32bit. Went through the backend setup and was able to see my HDHomeRun Prime (HDHR3) device, scan, and detect channels. Cannot get to live TV on frontend.
The last couple of days I have been going slowly crazy:mad:
I have a fresh install of Mythbuntu 12.04.1 (with MythTV 0.25) on my Antec Fusion Micro box with 15c2:0038 LCD display.
