http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi all, This is my first post, so be gentle. I've been working on setting up a HTPC with mythbuntu. I just installed mythbuntu 12.04 with Mythtv 0.25. My remote is a Vista MCE made by Ortek (I followed these instructions to get it functioning properly, and everything looks great. The only problem is that I can't seem to control the Xfce desktop with the remote. The only buttons that are working are the media buttons. Ideally, I would like to add some shortcuts so I can easily start Mythtv with the remote, as well as shutdown/suspend the computer. Thanks for any and all suggesti (Hardware)

I'm trying to configure a Compro Videomate M1F that uses the saa7134 kernel module with a fresh installation of Mythbuntu. From what I can see from lspci and lsmod the card is pickedup and configured correctly by the kernel, so no compiling or patching is necassary. I have also manually un- and loaded the modules.

I've recently rebuilt my MythTV box using Mythbuntu 12.04, to take advantage of newer hardware (Ivy Bridge).

I have two remotes, a MS MCE one (my preferred choice) and the rubbish one which came with my hauppauge NOVA-HD S2 card.
