I have a bigger database(2.1GB). I want input it into mysql in server part. If I output it from mysql in local part with tar.gz format, it has 420MB, if left a sql format, it has 2.1GB.

I have a huge mysql database , say about 15G size . Now I want to move the database to another mysql server , the normal way to do this is to export mysql file then import this file to the target server . But I find it is so slow and error occured in this process . Any better way to do this ? Please let me know . Thanks .

How To Set Up Database Replication In MySQL On Ubuntu 9.10

I have an Ubuntu webserver which once used a local database, but we migrated it and now the database is stored remotely on a separate server accessed from many different places.

I'm running a php website. I have two servers.

Please help me to check is this Mysql Database Server load too high? I found the mysql CPU usage is always higher than 100%.

I started with one server running Apache, PHP, MySQL. Now I have split off my web server so I am running all the PHP files on one server and my MySQL is still on the original server. Are there services / programs that I can turn off or uninstall from the MySQL Server now, or do I need to keep httpd (etc) running?

I have 2 servers, both running Ubuntu server 11.10. The first server runs Apache and PHP and it connects to a Mysql database on the second server.

The problem is slow mysql response on the second server.mysql logs does not show any errros other than: 120526 12:56:27 [Note] Plugin 'FEDERATED' is disabled.
