i only hear about android phone when someone told me about apps download
on android smart phone ,and i;m considering to buy a budget phone just to try
out some of the apps which i can download so i am thinking what is the least
operating system i need and the least internal memory i need in order to run some of the apps in todays android phone market, will a samsung galaxy y meet
my spec?
On my zte merit z990g net10 it came stock with orkut in the /system/app and it runs when the phone boots and uses about 20k ram I can't kill it because it says it's a system process. I can freeze it with titanium backup but after freezing when I reboot its still in the running process list. So my question is how do i go about removing it and is it even safe to do so.
Ok, I bought this zte merit z990g from Net10 back in Feb (runs on at&t towers)
I was sent a text yestetday telling me to follow the link to update my browser, yet when i did, nothing happened. Also, Im needing to know can I change the gingerbread stock to a different one, or will that mess my phone up? If so, how to I go about that?

I was setting this phone up to give away (for free) to someone as their first smartphone. But a bad charging port fried the phone. Does anyone have a phone to donate? I would take a complete phone or just a motherboard... or even a broken phone to salvage the motherboard from. Right now eBay doesn't have any that look like they would be usable (they don't power up).
Greetings everyone!
New Android user who just go the Nexus 4 and still learning all of the neat features and tricks of the Android OS.
Will be lurking around for more suggestions, such as phone accessories and essential apps for my phone!
