My lg optimus g no longer times out. I had it set to time out after 15 seconds but now it just stays on, draining my battery. I've powered off and restarted, which worked for a couple of days but no longer.w
New to the forum and hoping you might be able to save me a trip to the store...
In the last 24 hrs ma Galaxy S3 seems to have decided that it no longer wants to keep my screen on. The screen timeout feature is set to 30 seconds and smart stay is active however, if I am not touching the screen it will timeout, go black and lock within 5 seconds and this is happening consistently.
Hi I had had a nightmare with my Optimus G for a couple of weeks. My battery used to last at least 48h and all of a sudden, after some updates (facebook, superSU...) it went to last only like 24h. I though it might be some hardware problem but two days ago I received an OTA V10H, lost my root and now my battery life is even longer than the original 48 h.
Nowadays, cell phone is very popular and convenient for us. However, the high power consumption sometimes makes trouble for us. What can we do to solve this problem?
1. Dont drain the battery power often. Some people know that draining a lithium battery will actually expand its shrinking capacity. However, doing it too often may lead to the damage to the cell phone battery.
So I bought my phone brand new off eBay. I activated it and it worked just long enough to no longer be covered by eBay buyer protection (longer than 45 days). Then one day I can't make or receive calls or texts. It actually happened twice, the first time I pressed "1" because the phone said "it looks like you need to speak with a live representative".
Ok, I have a problem. Something, and I have no idea what, is launching Gallery periodically. About five or six times I've noticed my battery being very low, and when I check the battery stats, Gallery will have used 50% or more of the battery.
So I got my phone yesterday. It was running on 4.1.1 iirc(not sure, it was a version of JB though), device told me it needed an update but I didn't have the time to update.
Now today, as I'm returning home I'm playing a game when the phone gets really hot. Now I don't mean normal warm, almost unbearable to touch the bottom third of the phone for longer than a couple of seconds.
I have an android pantech from verizon. My screen is completely black. I have dropped it a couple of times. I've had it for almost two years. I purchased a new battery because my battery got overheated and my phone started turning off suddenly, draining the battery. My phone all works. I can feel the vibrations. So I just pull my battery then i can see my screen.
