I have an Evo3d running android 4.1 and I can't find out how to get group messaging to display all texts that belong to one conversation in a single thread. Most of my friends have iPhones and group text me. Each of their responese are shown in separate threads under their respective names rather than being shown under one group thread like gmail groups emails.
When texting just one person, sending and receiving messages is almost instantaneous, but when I try to group message my friends, but my S5 receives/loads the messages 1+ minutes after I was supposed to receive them. This makes it hard to keep up a conversation with them. Also, my S5 will get very warm when in a group chat.
I was letting everyone know on my contacts list that I had changed my number. However I made the really silly mistake of having it set to group conversation instead of the other option. Unfortunately, some of those contacts turned out to be complete strangers. I wanted to remove them from the group message because they were receiving messages sent back to me by my friends (on the group message).
So I always use a group conversation to talk with my friends. It's always sent the messages in order, no problem. Now mine are stacking and I'm receiving my friends minutes after they've actually sent them. Instead of seconds. I can't say that I did anything to my phone which would alter my messages
My dad and I can't send and receive text messages to each other. I have loads of other friends with iPhones and I seem to get their texts just fine. He never gets mine and I never get his. Once we had another iPhone user do a group message we could talk to each other then. Once he was out of the conversation we no longer could. I have never had an iPhone. I do have a Mac Mini and an Apple id.
So I'm about to head to work, when I notice a text from a friend. So I reply, and we end up sending a couple messages to each other.
Then, when I get home about 6 hours later, I go to show my boyfriend our conversation, because there was something there I wanted him to see, only to find that the only messages from today that are displayed are the last two of our conversation!!
I have had my s4 active for a while now and have never been able to use it to group message. I've searched in the message settings and I don't have a group message setting to activate. I've checked to make sure my software is up to date. Has anyone else had this issue?
Whenever somebody includes me in a group message/text/conversation that has more than 10 people in it, my messaging app (Hangouts) splits the conversation into 4-5 different conversations each with 10 people. What i've noticed is that each conversation includes the same people but maybe 1 person different from the other conversations.
