http://askubuntu.com – So, I have been running Ubuntu for about a month now. I chose to encrypt when I installed, so I am prompted for the password I set when I boot. My problem is that every time I shut down completely, I have to reboot twice in order to boot, meaning I press the power button on my laptop, and it runs my bios, flashes the normal Ubuntu pink for about 3 seconds, then a black square about 2 by 2 appears at the bottom right corner of the pink screen. After all of this, my computer screen goes black until I completely power off again (by holding the power button). Then I press the power button again (HowTos)
