I've installed ubuntu's 12.10 version on my Asus eee pc 1000h netbook. But I think, it's so slow when it's opening windows or running web browser(chrome) or something else.
After a google research, I've noticed that this slowness might be caused by Unity.
Now, I wonder what is the best configuration of unity for netbooks or specifically my netbook.
Thanks.
I Installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Eee PC 1000H Netbook but i cant turn my wifi on because there is no option to do so and i cant connect to my eternet.
can any one please find a way to install wifi drivers without using the internet on my netbook.
I've used ubuntu eee 8.04 on it. Only battery duration was 4 hours against 5 and more with Windows Xp. Now, with Ubuntu 9.04, array kernel for eeepc and some acpi scripts I can use my 1000h for at least 5 hours.
I'm trying to use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with my ASUS n10j netbook and it works fine other than the external monitor. I can use the monitor when running from the installation disk/pendrive but not now that ubuntu is actually installed, which leads me to suspect that I'm missing a driver.
All of a sudden my keyboard and trackpad don't work on my Asus 1001P netbook. I'm on the latest version. Not sure if it's Ubuntu or a hardware issue. How do I rule out hardware as the issue? Anyone else having similar trouble with an Asus netbook or notebook?
PC manufacturer Asus has announced that they are releasing three Eee PC netbook models with Ubuntu pre-installed. The three models that will be available with Ubuntu are the 1001PXD, 1011PX and 1015PX. Asus also announced that they plan make more models available with Ubuntu.
I tried installing Ubuntu on my netbook through a bootable USB a few days back. After installation I happened to use Ubuntu for quite some time and later shut down my netbook.
When I tried booting the netbook again, it just shows a black screen with a blinking cursor after the initial Asus screen. I tried opening BIOS by pressing F2 but it ain't coming either.
What should I do?
Hi, I was given an ASUS EeePc1000 netbook with ubuntu already on it. I want to load the most current (Ubuntu 12.4 is the number I think...) on it but cannot even figure out how to find out which version is currently running on this netbook.
Do I need to know that before I install the current version?
If so, how do find that info on the netbook?
Once I know...
ASUS, uno dei produttori da qualche anno impegnati (seppur in minima parte) nella diffusione di Linux in campo consumer/desktop, ha preso la decisione di produrre un nuovo netbook con Ubuntu preinstallata.
