http://androidforums.com – I have the original Samsung Galaxy S 4G from T Mobile, and just recently within the past month or so, I noticed my songs will have skips in them like a CD would. It happens with my Player Pro app, my other music app, and also it skips while listening to Pandora. I have cleaned out a few apps that I never used, and 'forced stop' ones that are permanently on the phone that I never use. I read some other posts saying to clear the data and clear cashe. I'm worried I'll lose my songs if I do that. Will I? How does that work?! Not all songs are purchased, a lot were uploaded when i got the pho (General)

I can't get any music player to recognise any new songs. I put on some music, default player recognises them. come back a day later, put new songs on, wont recognise them. there all .mp3's , old and new songs. i just drag all songs into sd card main folder, worked until recently. tried installing kies, wont see them.

Sorry guys about the lousy title. Im using a galaxy note 2 and the stock music player is really really slow.

What's a good music player on Android?

The Samsung music player is decent, but I like viewing by Artist and then by Album, however when viewing by Artist you can't have albums repeat because it's basically one giant list.

This has lead me to search for other music players.

What's the deal with google music? I received my 8 gig Nexus 4 today, and I uploaded about 380 songs to google music during setup. They all show up in the cloud now, but when I tried to pin them to my phone, they take up huge amounts of space, filling up the internal storage less than halfway through.

I've been playing with CarHome Ultra a bit, and it looks great, except for one thing - the media control buttons don't control either Google Play Music or WinAmp.

I have noticed that often songs i have downloaded via my laptop or phone and then transferred to my computer have managed to disappear. at first i thought it was just music on my laptop that i recently tossed out for being a real pain, but today i fired it up and five songs total were gone that were not the night before. fsck is not reporting anything wrong either.

I have around 9gb of music on my SD card, and as you know the media storage thing takes AGES to scan your SD card everytime you boot, so i installed startup manager to disable it. (so as you know they won't show in the stock media player because they have to be scanned first) Anyways i've tried a lot of the free music players on the app store and most just show around 55 songs (the same songs).
