Is there a way to completely remap actions of clickpad / touchpad?
I would like to be able to configure these things on my Samsung Series 9 900x3c clickpad (I would pick some of them that are possible to configure):
Bottom right clickpad button click would initiate left mouse button click (so the whole trackpad means only left mouse button - this would remove the need for tapping in most cases:
I have installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 on my new Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 M772DGE. Unfortunately the right mouse button of the touchpad is not working correctly. Every mouse button click is interpreted as a left mouse button click. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the synaptics (xserver-xorg-input-synaptics) drivers, but the problem is still present.
What else can I do? Any other suggestions?
Pardon the horrendous title, I'm not exactly sure how to summarize the issue I'm having. Basically, I have synaptics, and I right-click by tapping two fingers on the touchpad because my touchpad doesn't have any buttons.

Howdy... I just installed Fedora 18 and I noticed that the mouse pad on my laptop doesn't work. I can move the pointer with my finger but when I tap the pad to select a link with the pointer, it doesn't work. I have to click the left mouse button below the pad in order to select a link. If I use a USB mouse, it works fine. Any help that can be offered would be most appreciated.
I typically have pidgin and amsn, as well as firefox and thunderbird running.
Once in a while, the left mouse button ceases to function as the left button, and the right button becomes the left button, or almost.. I wonder if this is a bug, or am I hitting the left-handed-mouse function while typing accidentally??
PS: This is a laptop running Fedora 11.

How do I swap the spacebar and the left mouse button with xmodmap?
I've only been able to find steps for assigning the mouse buttons to keys, but I want to swap them so that space will trigger a left click and clicking the mouse will send the keycode for space.
