I have a microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse. After some time, i got it to pair with my laptop (Ubuntu 12.04 64). BUT the pointer doesn't move and the buttons work only marginally. The mouse is a laser mouse so it should work well on any surface- this one isn't working at all..
Is there something I'm missing? Has anyone else had this problem? did I really get the one bad mouse of the bunch??
My Ubuntu12.04 often appears stuck - mouse, keyboard, all did not respond, everything stopped. I tried all methods to prove that indeed is a very serious problem. I know many people are like me, unfortunately, this problem still exist in 12.10.
I think the two most suspicious:
1 mouse. I do not use the mouse (I use the laptop touchpad), and never had problems.
When I move my mouse slowly over the desktop the pointer jumps often a few pixels (one or two) in the opposite direction of which I move my mouse. Horribly when trying to set the cursor around some semicolons in eclipse. I guess this is the result of a wrong set resolution of it.
Hi:I've been playing Urban Terror and World of Padman on my laptop. They are fun, but pretty much once every gaming session I have the same problem. All of a sudden, the mouse "escapes" the window.
Hi, everyone I have a Presario CQ56 112nr, and Ubuntu works with out any problems, In windows I would turn off my mouse pad because it will get in the way when I type, is there any drivers for Ubuntu that will let me turn off the mouse pad because I us a mouse instead because i can stand the mouse pad, so I us a out side mouse, thanks :)
I run a HTPC which I recently upgraded 11.2 -> 11.3.
Most things work fine but I've got an oddity.
All works fine until I move the mouse cursor on the monitor to either the bottom of the screen or to the right of the screen. It then disappears from the monitor and re-appears onto my laptop screen. There is no way I can then get control back onto the monitor screen.
I have a problem in Ubuntu 12.10, 64-bit. I set my laptop's display to switch off after 10 minutes of inactivity. Now and then it happens that when I come back to my laptop and move the mouse to wake it up, the screen switches on but only displays the mouse pointer (which can be moved around) and the rest stays black. Anyone knows about this problem?
I recently got a used computer from my Aunt and it currently has a little under a gig of RAM. Anyways I noticed a lot of the time that when I'm doing something, my mouse will freeze in the closing fist cursor.
It keeps doing this to me, and it's getting on my nerves. I have to force shut-down on my PC. I use a regular USB Optical Mouse.
