I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 where in the problem arises that whenever i log into my account the mouse pointer disappears and i have to logout and again login so anyone can state the solution for it
I have N5110 and ubuntu 13.04. My mouse is not precise. It clicks randomly. When I place mouse pointer at one point it clicks to another (most of the time to the previous target; sometimes even target in other window).

No matter what kernel I select to boot into, eventually I lose the mouse pointer visibility. If I move the mouse around, stuff does get highlighted, I just can't see the pointer as it moves. CTRL/ALT/BKSP does bring up a logout menu (doesn't kill X, tho), and I can tab thru it...time wasting, although it does come back from a restart with all the windows as before.
Just installed 11.2 on my Thinkpad T61 and during install the mouse pointer (synaptics) works fine but not the mouse buttons. After the install on every first login the pointer works but not the buttons. If I restart the gui and try to login into gnome again then all works agin. But it always fails on the first login and gnome sessions.
Hi. My mouse pointer disappears after awhile. Not really sure what causes it to disappear, but it does. Maybe it happens when the screen saver blanks the screen, but that is just a guess as to what causes it.
I installed FC19 via the live DVD on a HP Pavilion a1710n desktop.
After upgrading to Xubuntu 13.10 I rebooted once and found that after login, regardless of account, I end up stuck after the login window disappears, with a movable pointer and the background from the login screen. I am running ecryptfs on the main account's home partition but even the guest login yields the same result.
Is there any way to set the mouse pointer where it affects every part of Windows? (I'm especially aiming for the login screen, but if there are any other areas within the OS where user-specific customization won't work I would like to set those as well :D ).
