Mouse battery status

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi, Last week I upgraded to F18 from F17 my Gnome-shell setup using Fedup. Afterwards, I noticed a neet little thing where the battery notification at the top right of the screen now showed the battery life of my wireless mouse as well. However, I then spend the rest of the week distro hopping as I usually do between releases. I ultimately came back to Fedora (as usual) and proceeded with a fresh install. Unfortunately, I noticed that the mouse battery indicator is no longer there. I looked into the settings and Googled it but wasn't able to find anything. Would anybody know how (HowTos)

I have a bluetooth mouse connected to my laptop.

Much to my delight (I posted the suggestion!) the mouses battery is now displayed along side the laptop's battery.

Unfortunately is is named simply "battery" in the drop down and "Laptop battery" once the power statistics windows is opened.

I'm using Ubuntu Precise with Gnome Shell on a Dell Latitude E6520 and I'm missing the battery status icon. When I run gnome-power-statistics then the battery info is displayed correctly so I'm sure Linux and Gnome can see the battery (So there is no ACPI problem).

I have a little problem with my Kesington Bluetooth Mouse on Ubuntu 12.10.

Ubuntu 12.10 considers my bluetooth mouse battery as a system battery as if it was the main laptop battery (so I have two on the battery indicator, the main and the bluetooth one).

I have an Acer One netbook (model A0751h). I loaded Ubuntu 9.10 (not the remix) and the battery status icon is in the tray. Only problem is I can only see my mouse battery status, nothing else. Would be nice to see the laptop battery status. Can anyone help? Thanks...

I just installed apex launcher yesterday and thought id change the power toggles icon to battery to keep an eye on how the launcher would affect my battery life. A few hours ago i charged my phone fully. I noticed the battery went to 98 percent fairly quickly but then it went back up to 100. I checked my battery stats to make sure it wasnt just the power toggles playing up.

One of the changes in Lucid is that there are no longer tooltip popups when you mouseover appindicator icons. One of these icons is the battery icon. Now, in order to get your battery status, you must click on the battery icon. You then have to click in the window that you were previously working in to continue working.

I've noticed lately that my battery has been draining pretty quickly, but I've since chalked that up to an old battery that just needs replacement. But I noticed today that my battery ran out and my phone shutdown, but I went to charge it and immediately turned it back on and noticed that it read 50% charged. What is happening here?

Basically the same problem as in this thread. Except that was F11, and it's still there in F17 with Gnome 3.

I do not need to be warned about the low battery on my wireless mouse. Especially when I have *two* wireless mouses and Gnome won't tell me which is low. And I certainly don't need the warning randomly covering up what I'm looking at.

Is there any way to disable this warning?
