Yes friends… when it rains— it pours. You all remember that one sexy and mysterious Motorola phone we mentioned recently? You know— that mysterious Motorola XT1055 smartphone we’d told you about last week is very much the real deal and on its way? Well it appears that the mysterious device may very well arrive out here in the States dressed in Verizon clothing.
Motorola is continuing their trend of moving apps to the Play Store for quicker updates. They already moved the Motorola Camera as well as Touchless Control, and they just added Motorola Connect and Motorola Assist. Motorola Connect syncs your phone to Chrome so that you can read and reply to texts as well as see who is calling you on your desktop.
Following the split of Motorola to form Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions earlier this year, Motorola Mobility has been acquired by Google. This is Google's biggest acquisition and signals its intention to become as dominant in the smartphone market as it is in search.
Remember the “Moto G” name that Motorola trademarked last week? It’s name was spotted earlier today on the company’s website. Unfortunately, it has been pulled (for now). As you can see in the image above, the Moto G popped up alongside the Moto X. This new handset could very well be the low-cost Motorola DVX that was previously reported.
The Moto X may have been Motorola’s most hyped device of the past year, but instead it’s the lower-end Moto G that has met the marks, and exceeded them.
