  Hot off the heels of AT&T Galaxy S III owners getting a minor utility update, Galaxy S III owners on Sprint’s Now Network are being treated to a new update as well. Sprint announced the new update will bring the software version to L710VPL13.

  As Sprint has launched bigger and better smartphones for 2012, it’s only natural that we see an entrant in the QWERTY arena and that’s why Sprint decided to bring its customers the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE smartphone. Now many of you are thinking wait a minute— the original Photon 4G was neither an LTE smartphone nor a phone with a slide-out keyboard.

As owners of the original Atrix 4G wait patiently for their upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich, Motorola has begun rolling out a minor software update to the Atrix HD. While it’s not Jelly Bean, version 77.12.22 does manage to address a slew of bugs that were apparent in the handset’s previous build.

It’s a sad day for early adopters of Motorola’s first dual-core handsets. In a statement made on the company’s support forum, it’s been revealed that the Atrix 4G, Photon 4G and Electrify will not be receiving updates to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and instead will remain on Gingerbread.

Motorola RAZR i handsets have begun receiving the highly anticipated update to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean today.

According to a few forums, it appears that owners of Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G are beginning to receive a software update. While the update does not include an upgrade to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), it does provide a minor update bringing it to version 4.0.4. This latest software version, reportedly 2.13.651.1.710RD, also brings with it Sense 4.1 – HTC’s latest custom UI.

Motorola just officially announced the Photon Q 4G LTE for Sprint, but didn’t offer a release date. This one will be similar but better than the DROID 4 on Verizon Wireless. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard looks to be the same as the DROID 4, but the specs are beefed up a little.

  The Sprint LG Optimus G is getting a nice upgrade to Jelly Bean with numerous reports of the update rolling out to owners. While it’s only been a little over three months since the phone’s release, Jelly Bean has been available on devices as early as July 2012.

it seems like sprint will be pushing an ota to the evo 3d on feb 21 and chances are, we are getting the same at virgin mobile... ota includes minor fixes but its nice to see updates keep coming to our phone...
