Moment.Me For iPhone Creates Shared Albums With Photos, Videos, & Tweets From You & Friends

While Instagram has pulled its photos out of the Twitter stream, tweets from Soundtracking now stream music in-line. The music moment-sharing app joins a small club including YouTube, Rdio, Official.fm, and Soundtracking that are pushing the limits of multimedia tweets.

Tracks, the mobile photo-sharing app once described as Color for normal people, is rolling out another major update to its iOS application today. It’s also making its official debut on Android, following some early tests on that platform.

Twitter may be slowly closing the window for how some third parties can use its river of Tweets, but Twitter is also cherry picking others that might prove useful for its own traffic. And it’s using a pretty prominent call-out box to do it.

New York-based startup Timehop is still digging through your old tweets, Facebook posts and Instagram photos to make you remember your past self. Originally, Timehop aggregated all this data and sent you a daily email. It is now going a step further by encapsulating this in an attractive iPhone app and bringing a couple of new features along the way.

I’ve never really been a fan of tapping a “Like” button on Facebook. Mostly because it doesn’t always mean that I like something. I use that button as a way to say “hey I looked at this and it meant something”, but maybe I use Facebook incorrectly.

A little more than a week after announcing its acquisition by telecom giant SingTel, Pixable is releasing a substantially redesigned version of its iPhone photo aggregation app. As with the old version, the Pixable app aggregates photos and videos from social networks, highlighting the ones that are most likely to be interesting to you.

The proliferation of smartphones has made it incredibly easy for us to take numerous photos and record videos, but it has also left us to deal with massive media archives stored on our devices. When you need to locate one specific photo, or find those you shot at a given event, it can be difficult.
