The reality will be very different, according to one analyst firm.

The Mobile Carriers Forum is calling for new rules that would require local and state governments to review carriers' plans for new tower facilities within 150 days, or let them pass un-amended.

The great thing about today’s technology is the ability to choose from a variety of mobile carriers to best suit our needs. That means some of you can choose Verizon Wireless for example because of great nationwide coverage and the solid 4G LTE speeds. AT&T and T-Mobile announced an agreement today to help customers of both carriers who are located in Hurricane Sandy’s heavily impacted areas.
