I am running F10KDE, and my volume control in my panel has disappeared. What do I have to do to get it back??
Thanks,

I am running Xubuntu with Xfce and today I accidentally removed an icon from the Notification Area that provided quick access to Thunderbird and Pidgin chats. Is there a way to restore that icon or to restore the whole Notification Area to default settings?
I marked the icon in question on the screenshot:

Apparently, I lost the volume icon, too.
I feel little silly asking this, I accidently removed from my gnome panel my internet connection, volume control and battery indicator on F11. how can I add this back. It does not show up in the add to panel menu and the applications do not give you back the default feel.
thanks

I would like to know if it is possible to fully integrate ossxmix with gnome control volume through volume icon/button (that in the system tray - at the far-right of the top Gnome panel-), I mean, when I set the volume from ossxmix that same volume could be updated in the gnome control volume automatically, and vice versa.

When I go to Settings / Sound / Volume I see 4 sliders (Incoming Call Volume, Media Volume, System Volume, Notification Volume).
For 3 of the 4, when I move the slider I hear a sample of the volume as expected.
But for the system volume slider, when I move it I hear nothing at all.
People always say network manager icon, sound icon,or other applets is losing from the gnome-panel and want how to get the icon back.Despite these icons’ missing may be caused by series reasons, the first solution come to my mind is add them back by “Add to Panel” in right-click on panel menu.
