http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi folks, My girlfriend recently alerted me to the fact that not all of my videos are showing in Mythvideo. With a terminal session, I confirmed that the video files are there and that the permissions are the same as the other videos in the same directory. I have watched that video via Mythtv before... so I'm confused as to why it is no longer appearing. Issuing a rescan from within mythvideo doesn't resolve the problem. I've been using Mythbuntu 11.10/MythTV 0.24 for about a year. Single box with BE and FE. After a recent upgrade to 12.04 and 0.25, and then to 0.26 I've got several thing broken.

The is no more 'Watch Videos' menu in the 'Media Library'. I was using storage groups in 0.24 and they have not changed. Database still have all my videos.

I'm hoping someone can help me find a video player app with the features listed below. I've been searching for weeks and honestly can't find an exact match.

Features: Remember play position of multiple videos Remembers which videos have been watched (has 'mark as watched') Ability to sort videos by name, date etc.

Ok so I've just upgraded mythbuntu from 0.25 to 0.26. I have uploaded some new videos but in mythweb video page the 'Scan Collection' button is missing???

I know i can do a rescan using Terminal and and in the frontend app but thats not ideal for me because:

I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Lenovo machine, having 1.5 GB of RAM and a wide screeen LCD Dell monitor (I think videos have a 16:9 aspect ratio).

The problem is I am not able to see videos in VLC or Totem movie players. I'm able to listen to sound, but videos are not displayed.

SMPlayer is working well to display video.

Could anyone please explain to me how to play videos in other media

Whenever i use the youtube app, or any app, including videos from a website the videos never load all the way. They stop about a quarter in and no matter if im using wifi or 3g. This happens on the app video player and the phones normal video player. I have waited for videos to load forever, but the load bar just sits there. Video froze.

I'm in the process of updating my system. Have been using Mythdora prior, so new to Mythbuntu. I installed mythbuntu 12.04.2 desktop amd64 and let it update during the install. The default path for videos is /var/lib/mythtv/videos from what I can see in the backend setup. I SFTP'd a mp4 file to this directory. I then try to scan for videos.

When I open the Unity Launcher and click on the last icon for videos, I get three lists: Recently seen, My videos, Online videos

Online videos is listing videos, that I consider highly inappropriate (for example a video trying to convince people with a live threatening dease to have faith instead of visiting a doctor).

How is that list generated? How do I deactivate it? Why does it show those v

Hello.

At first I used some version of Mx player and every video/movie played perfect to me. After updating mx player everything went to hell. Only few smaller videos(american dad 170mb.mp4) are barely watchable, but other mp4 wich is 445mb, lags a lot and sound always skips ahead and stops to wait video. I have not tried with other formats because all my media is mp4.
