ClassicMenu Indicator is a notification area applet (application indicator) for the top panel of Ubuntu’s Unity desktop environment. It provides a simple way
to get a classic GNOME-style application menu for those who prefer this over the Unity dash menu.
I have removed the Unity DE using this command:
Code:
sudo apt-get remove unity unity-2d-places unity-2d unity-2d-panel unity-2d-spread unity-asset-pool unity-services unity-lens-files unity-lens-music unity-lens-applications gir1.2-unity-4.0 unity-common indicator-sound indicator-power indicator-appmenu libindicator7 indicator-application evolution-indicator indicator-datetime indicator-mess
I upgraded my 12.04 to 12.10 yesterday, everything goes fine.
But I found the little gear icon of session indicator was show incorrectly.
I've re-installed the indicator-session package and changed to default theme but the problem remains.
It's not a big problem but it is just annoying, hope you guys can help me!

Everything works in Unity 2D.
I am facing a problem with the dash not showing proper/actual icons for certain applications such as Google Chrome and Mozilla Daily Mail. Instead of getting the standard icons for these applications, I get to see a default icon for all the applications.
I have searched for this (even on developer.android.com) and I can't seem to find a simple answer.
I am hoping there is a guide out there for all the possible notification icons that can appear at the top on the notification bar in Jelly Bean 4.1.1.

I recently deleted some icon themes, as a result the applications do not display the icons properly. The applications are running but some buttons do not display some icons and some icons are changed.
I tried re-installing the applications but the result is the same. Can any one tell me what I can do?
It is trivial to do this in Ubuntu 10.04.
