Dear friends,
I tried to find a solution but was not successful. Here is the problem: I apparently do not have 32bit libraries installed on F17 64bit version. And was not able to do so.
I have Ati HD 4300 graphics card meaning I need to use kernel 3.4 and 12.6 legacy proprietary drivers (otherwise the battery on the laptop drains twice as fast). All is working nicely.
When I run PlayOnLinux the error:"PlayOnLinux is unable to find 32bits OpenGL librariesYou might encounter problems with your games"appears.I have an HIS ATI RadeonHD 5830 AMD 64bit Phenom II X4I have the proprietary drivers installed from ATIAny help would be awesome. I am a linux noob.
So, what I'm trying to achieve here is installing the 32bit OpenGL library, as I'm attempting to run some games in Wine, which for whatever reason, only uses the 32bit OpenGL libraries.I've installed the NVIDIA drivers following the tutorial "How To: Nvidia drivers in #!
I just recently moved from Windows to Fedora 17 and I wanted to try and see if I can get some of my Windows games to run in Fedora. I installed Playonlinux today and I've installed the needed components except the 32 bit OpenGL libraries which playonlinux cannot find and where I am stuck on.
This tutorial should also work for OpenSUSE 11.1 and 11.2. Its written for 32bit but should be the same for 64bit. The only problem you might have is you need to download the following files which should be in the OSS repo:
I want to install eagle cadsoft 6.2.0 on Ubuntu 11.10, eagle is 32bit compatible so I need to install ia32-libs but its giving the following error:
Package ia32-libs is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'ia32-libs' has no installation candidate

I'm new to linux and I'm having this problem since few days, it was not there before.
I have installed MS Office 2010 using PlayOnLinux. i want to associate the .docx files to Playonlinux. I've follow the workaround on this thread: how to set file associations with PlayOnLinux?
but I have still the problem, that Word will open clean but not the Document that I select. Any idea?
PlayOnLinux 3.8.3 has been released, it was a silent release and no changelog has been provided by the PlayOnLinux team.
When a changlog becomes available I will post it here.
