hi all i have question how to convert and extract audio from video file, i
have try avconv but it says the codec was unknown i also write -acodec mp3 libx264 h264 and other codec but but the avconv always says unknown codec and so the winff, winff however can convert to wma or audio file but its corrupted, am i should download the codec?
I've tried to find a solution to this but haven't been able to yet.
I'm using ubuntu 12.04 installing using wubi installer.
I have no audio. I can see the sound icon on the bar on top and interact with it.
It doesn't say mute, it seems normal.
i'm getting this "could not open media source" error in minitubemaybe someone knows how to fix itin console i get Phonon error: "Could not open media source." 2
I was Playing a video in VLC but it displayed the error message
VLC does not support the audio or video format "MSS2"
How to solve this error
More problems, so, i would prefer Minitube than using web browser.
I have a very slow internet connection so therefore I'd like to use the G729 audio codec with Linphone and Voipbuster (actually I'd prefer to use Ekiga but this isn't available for Quantal Quetzal 12.10 and has no G729). Apparently it should be possible to use G729 with Linphone, see here. I downloaded the tar.gz file and followed installation instructions.
@Inkane. Thanks for responding. The name of the video is art Tatum plays Dvorak. However I can play this video and other videos but onlu if I go to " video " on the minitube menu and select " open you tube page " then it will play.
I'm having trouble playing mkv files in Kaffeine, or any other player on openSUSE, which generally doesn't come with this type of codec.
I've already installed a mkv codec that I found in the openSUSE repository.
