I would need your advice how to do a minimalistic instalation of Fedora with Xfce from CLI.
I downloaded minimum install iso (about 200MB) and started to install. During the instalation I checked "minimal", thats all.
Now I want to install Xorg and Xfce and GDM. But I want to install just necessary packages... without networkmanager and so on.
Hello!Currently and since May 2012, Xfce 4.10 on Debian is only available on the Experimental repository and only its Core packages. They run fine but you'll lose most of the Xfce Apps and Plugins functionality.Also, it's unlikely that 4.10 will come to Testing/Unstable any time soon, as Debian will be freezing soon and the decision to not include 4.10 is expected.
I added the XFCE group
yum groupinstall "Xfce"
How do I remove it again, if I attempt the remove group yum command it wants to remove a whole bunch of dependant packages that weren't part of the original install that I really don't want to remove.
I want to install Ubuntu+Xfce( not Xubuntu)
Basically,what i want to do is:
Install Ubuntu 11.10
Make sure that all of the settings are right.
Install Xfce.
How can i do it?

I need another Desktop Environment with Xfce.
Do you think that Unity 2D is good for old pc?

I just installed this program called LXmed (aka LXDE Menu Editor) According to XFCE's wiki page it also works for XFCE, so I installed it, all went well, but unfortunately it didnt open when I clicked it.
