http://techcrunch.com – Here’s something straight out of science fiction: the University of Iowa is offering a new service to help students overcome test anxiety, using a mind-reading technology that guides them into a state of relaxation. So-called “Biofeedback” displays students’ brainwaves in realtime and alerts them when they’ve dropped into a state of calm focus. “Once a student learns to reduce their anxiety using skills learned through biofeedback training, their performance increases significantly — often resulting in dramatic improvements in academic performance,” (IT news)
