Microsoft has just turned on its brand new (and beautiful) App Hub for WP7 and Xbox LIVE. Aimed at developers it provides an ideal starting point for students, those that want to bring apps or games to Windows Phone 7, or indie developers that want to produce the next big hit!
Over 22 million students currently use Microsoft’s Office 365 for Education online services, but today, the company is also announcing a new version of Office 365 for students whose schools don’t use Microsoft’s online productivity suite.
I have a mac mini lion server that has a student username on it. All around the school the kids use laptops that connect to a share based on what classroom the laptop came from. It works like this.
Laptop # 32 in room 400 will connect to the 400 share folder on startup by mapping the drive with a script.
This allows teachers to use their account and see what the students have been working on.
