There is no flashing metropcs in nyc area,is this true,can anyone verify that?I have a htc evo and I have been trying to flash it to metropcs,and I have been told there is no flashing metropcs in nyc area..and I have been to many metro stores and they wont add or flash my esn...this sucks!!!
I have a Droid 3 that was successfully flashed to Metropcs. Everything worked initially except MMS.
The flash was perform by an MetroPCS affiliate store that is more than 40miles from me. I have had to take it that location 3x in the last 5months to have the PRL manually updated.
That is a lot of miles to drive. I want to do this myself.
This was definitely news that I was surprised waking up to. It appears that T-Mobile USA and MetroPCS are in heavy talks in a merger where T-Mobile will absorb MetroPCS in hopes to compete against Sprint’s #3 spot among US providers. What’s even more surprising is that both T-Mobile and MetroPCS are confirming such talks!
I have rooted my 2.3.4 DX and am trying to fully flash to metropcs. According to the instructions found at Say Buh-Bye to VZW, I was able to create the COM port referred to in section #1, and the .txt and .zip in #2.
1. First problem I had was in section #3. CDMA would not accept my .txt file for the NV part (xxxxxxxxxx.@mymetropcs.com_cdmaws27).
Yesterday, things looked all but certain for a merger to occur between T-Mobile and MetroPCS according to an announcement from Deutshe Telekom AG. One day later though the situation may have changed. Reports indicate Sprint may be in the process of preparing a rival proposal to acquire MetroPCS. Analysts believe Sprint and MetroPCS would be a good fit because their networks are compatible.
