Hi guys, I'm still new to android how that i can learn more from this forum.
My problem:
It seems like I will only receive notification update from facebook/facebook messenger when my phone is connected to the wifi. Any idea how to fix it? Is there way to make my screen light up + vibrate whenever i receive any notification?
I have a Windows Live ID and I use it to talk with my friends, who use Windows Live Messenger 2009 or 2011. I've adopted Pidgin as conversation client because it is universal and it is cross-platform.
Good news for all the pidgin fans, Pidgin developers have announced the release of the brand new Pidgin 2.7.0. This release brings a lot of protocol support improvements, bug fixes and new features. Major changes include a better search dialog, better integration in the notification area, fixing some msn relates security issues and a lot more.
I've set up another user colin.pidgin and I've started up Pidgin and configured it under this user.
My issue is... without sudoing into this user

)
How do I actually start Pidgin under this user?
I want to be able to click a button on the Unity panel and have this happen.

Hi everyone,
I've installed Ubuntu 12.04, and the first thing that I did was setting classic gnome session instead of Unity which I don't like. Everything is nice except one fact: I'm using Pidgin, and I am unable to make it show an icon in the notification panel (in the right up corner).
new to it all ca some one explain how to use pidgin as a messenger i just keep getting no server and not linked ha some one got the instructions or some were i can get them
