Need to set up and manage a mailing list with a minimum of fuss? The Simple Mailing List application is the perfect tool for the job.
Using the mailing list option in Cpanel, created the list, filled out all the general options in mailman, list appears to be all good.
Except mails sent to the list name are never received, and new members after registration are not added to the list, it seems as nothing behind the mailing list actually functions.
Clearly I have not activated or set something up correctly can someone please
The release-team mailing list is intended for private discussions
between release-team members. It should not be interesting as anything
that is important, we'll either announce or bring to an appropriate
mailing list.
The release-team was not open for subscribing for 2 reasons:
1. We want to discuss things amongst ourselves, not immediately already
have replies from non-release team members
2.
I'm running a club website with Drupal 7 and have a mailing list hosted offsite using GNU mailman. I'd really like to consolidate this list to the web domain. I don't care about archiving the old emails.
What's the easiest way to use the list of email addresses of the accounts in the mysql database that drupal uses as the addresses to send mailing list messages to?
I am using Listserv 15.5 and I would like to use a mailing list address as editor mail address, however Listserv explicitely warns one from using a mailing list address:
Important Note: The first editor MUST be an email address that goes to
a person, not a file server, list server, mailer, or other automated
email address.
Do you think it is better a distribution list in active directory or a shared mailing list of exchange for company internal mail alias (one address to many recipients)? I can not unserstand pro and con.
Thanks
I migrated my account from one server I maintain to another, and everything seems for the most part to be working, except mailing lists. I thought they might be working and just no one's used them, but several hours after I set everything up, the mail queue blew up with messages being defered by the server.
(This is a reprise of a message I posted to the Fedora devel mailing list yesterday. I know not everyone reads that list and I want to get wide input and hopefully excitement.)
I've been active with Fedora for a while, and I know a lot of you and I hope a lot of you know me.
@ t0m5k1,I have had similar experience, the forums team is waaay better. I unsubscribed from the mailing list after having similar *biased* experiences. I have seen that the ML mods can post whatever they want, but they won't let anyone else post even something a bit-offtopic.
