I am as good as a beginner in Linux, and I'm sure I need to install the wireless driver for the Macbook's wireless card to pick up the wireless network.
I just don't know how.
Thanks in advance! :)

Hello,I just installed Crunchbang on a new HP laptop:Linux pavilion 3.2.0-0.bpo.2-amd64 #1 SMP Fri Jun 29 20:42:29 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux At first there was no option in Network Manager for selecting the wireless network.
I recently installed Ubuntu 10.4 on my new Dell Studio 1558. After installing the broadcom proprietary driver for my wireless card, the wireless for my laptop worked fine.
Hi I just deleted my windows XP and installed Ubuntu 9.10 earlier this morning. I used wired connection to get drivers for my wireless network card.
When I did lspci, the very last line states:
Network Controller: Broadcom Coporation BCM4311 902.11b/g WLAN(rev 01)
Hi everyone...
yesterday i've installed openSuse 11.2 on my laptop (dell studio 15).
Today at work i tried to connect to the wireless network, but i couldn't. First, the network card wasn't being recognized, but after a long time trying i was able to set it up, for this i used this command:
I installed Ubuntu on a partition of my MacBook Pro. Wireless connections work fine when I switch to OSX, but the wireless networks are not even detected when I boot Ubuntu. I installed Wicd as a new network manager, but I'm still having the same problem. Ubuntu works on a wired connection though.
I have searched the web for a solution...
I've been struggling to connect to my home wireless network, but up until now my Broadcom card has been able to at least detect the network. I know this because in Network manager, in the Add Network Connection dialog box, if I tell it to scan for wireless networks then I see my home network along with all the other local wireless networks.
I am running on Mac OS X, 10.8.2, Virtual Box. I have installed the guest addition and also the extension pack for USB.
I have already installed the linux driver for Realtek RTL8192CU, because that's the chip it uses.
When i run the lsusb command it recognizes it as Realtek.
I know that it is connected.
I'm running SUSE 11.3 on a Dell Inspiron 1501 with a Broadcom BCM4311 wireless card. Everything looks like it is installed right, but when I try to connect to my wireless network I can't see any networks. I've tried using network manager and ifup in yast and I've tried scanning for networks and entering the ssid manually and nothing works. Let me know if there's anymore info you need.
