I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my MacBook Pro 9,1 Mid 2012 non retina 15 inch. I installed the 4 drivers from this link https://launchpad.net/~mactel-support/+archive/ppa?field.series_filter=p... but still I can't get wireless or bluetooth to work. Even adaptive brightness I think isn't working. Can anyone suggest where to get the complete set of drivers?
P.s.
Hardware: 13" MacBook Pro 5,5 (Summer 2009), GeForce 9400M.
OS: Ubuntu 12.04.2 AMD64
My hardware and OS are similar to what some others with this problem had, but what worked for them doesn't work for me.
Unfortunately, with the nvidia driver, the brightness controls (F1 and F2) do not work - no feedback at all.

I bought a MacBook Pro 9,1 (NOT retina). Can anyone tell me how to install Ubuntu 12.04 on it? I already have Windows installed via BootCamp. Also, where to install drivers for Ubuntu and all? This link https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBookPro has nothing for 9,1 so please help me.
I use Ubuntu 12.04 on my Sony Vaio(VPCCW2HGX). At the first times, brightness control works well, but after the activating additional drivers(nvidia accelerated graphics driver) brightness control doesn't work. I searched this issue on so many Ubuntu and Linux forums, but solutions doesn't work.
How can I get the brightness on my ASUS G75 laptop to work in Ubuntu 12.10 alpha?
On my MacBook Pro, there used to be an nvidia-bl-dkms module. On my Dell XPS 15z, it worked out of the box. Now I am a little bit stumped and need help.
I've got the nvidia-current 304.43 drivers installed.
Thanks.
I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on a Sony vpc cw18gf.
I can not decrease or increase brightness and my Fn key does not work.
My brightness and lock settings are as in this image:
I tried both pages below but my problem is not solved.
page 1: Brightness control doesn't seem to work on a Toshiba Satellite M115 laptop
page 2: Ubuntu 12.04 - Brightness controls not working [duplicate]
I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10 the other day on my Dell M90 and the screen brightness lowered all the way and the brightness FN keys no longer work. I even went to the brightness controls in Ubuntu and I can't get the brightness to go up.
Thanks,
John
