Mac Hard Drive Data Recovery is needed when your disks are not spinning up, hard drive unmountable, killed a hard drive without backing up, or if you have experienced a hard drive crash.

If your hard drive can be detected and shows up as a drive letter in my computer but you can't access your files, then you can recover your data off it with data recovery software easily.
This way is the easiest and the most inexpensive way to recover your data.
I managed to recover data from crashed hard drive with windows Data Recovery software.
If needed, you can download it and scan your hard d
My MSI laptop has 2 hard drives in it. My idea is to:
1. Remove hard drive #2,
2. Install new ssd,
3. Clone hard drive #1 to new ssd,
4. Replace hard drive #1 with new ssd,
5. Put hard drive #2 back in its original spot.
Will this work, and is this a good method? What cloning software is recommended? I have never cloned a hard drive before.
Some HDD or computer problems can prevent your hard drive from being read properly. The inability to access a hard drive doesn't always indicate a malfunctioning drive so you might be able to fix the drive and recover important computer data upon an external hard drive enclosure. The hard drive enclosure is often a shell that you place your hard disk in.
So after playing with fire for over a decade and keeping a backup of all my data on a laptop, I've finally gotten around to a proper backup solution.
My plan is two use two 2.5" hard drives with enclosures. The first drive would occasionally be used to read the data but also to backup data from three computers. The second drive would be a mirror of the first drive.
Knowing for a few months now there was an issue with my hard drive, I ignored it. Problem was from power outages, was getting the error on boot, over rode the setting in BIOS to ignore the issue. Knew should have just zeroed out the drive, but was lazy and now am screwed.
Now Ubuntu cannot read the hard drive, BIOS does, but shows it as 0mb.
