Portal 2, the first-person puzzle game developed by Valve and published on Steam for Linux is now available with a 75% discount until April 25. Portal 2 is without a doubt one of the most interesting FPS games released in the past decade and it's been available on the Linux platform for a couple months. It's still in the Beta stages, but Valve will most likely promote it to stable soon.
Microsoft confirmed today that it has hired Jason Holtman to help lead its PC gaming efforts. Holtman left Valve in February for unknown reasons. As Neowin reported, he was known in that role for his work on Steam, the exceedingly popular PC game sale and delivery platform.
Microsoft has a similar effort, Games for Windows, that is generally regarded as lesser than Steam by gamers.
