I'm using

but I'm finding lots of files on remote that are not getting copied by rsync, while others are copied. Rsync does not throw any errors, it's like it just doesn't see some files.
I have a directory that have zillions of files. As soon as I try to copy this directory, I receive a message that a file could not be copied (corrupt ?) and the copy stops.

How do I copy files from the hard drive to a USB stick with Thunar?

I don't remember any such problems with F16.
we have 30 GB files on our filesystem which we need to copy daily to 25 location on the same machine (but different filesystem).
cp is taking 20 min to do the copy and we have 5 different thread doing the copy.
so in all its taking around 2 hr and we need to reduce it.
Is there any other command which will copy the files faster.
Or any other way in which we can copy the files.
I have noticed that when I copy files to flash disk and in UI I see message copy completed in notification area on task bar, usually copy is not completed. So, if I eject the media I loose data.
It is very serious problem because may cause loss of valuable and even critical data.
Moreover, when it displays copy completed message I see files on flash drive, but closer look show their size is 0.
