I have deleted some Office 365 user accounts without deleting those users from their various Distribution Groups first.
In Outlook these accounts don't show in the Distribution Droups.
But in Lync I can still see all the deleted users in Distribution Group '#Staff London'.
How can I stop these users showing in the distribution group in Lync.
I have a few users with Outlook 2003 and Windows 7. Every time they open outlook, They repeatedly get asked for their username and password no matter how many times they are entered. Outlook goes directly into offline mode when clicking cancel. The users are able to view their mail through outlook web access.
While Windows 8 and Office 2013 get all the hype, it’s time for Microsoft partners to focus on Lync — the unified communications platform. Lync was the big winner in Microsoft’s latest earnings results. It’s available on-premises and within the Office 365 cloud. Some hosting providers also offer Lync. And what about Microsoft VARs?
I need to set-up Lync on a Server 2008 machine. The problem is that Lync cannot be set up on a Domain Controller. That means I need to have one Server 2008 that's a domain controller and another that's Server 2008 running Lync.
I figured the best way would be hosting it on a single machine, using virtual machines.
I installed Server 2008, but now my question is this.
Is there a way that I can install (hosted) Lync on our terminal server and when a user logs on, it automatically inserts their email address and the correct manual SIP settings so I don't have to log on to each profile manually?
I've remastered an Install of Precise 12.04 in order to quickly install the System on all other machines in the Network.
Every once in a while, new applications are installed on any one of those machines and I need to sync the applications. One-Conf seems to be the ideal tool for this.
But, even though the the machines have different names, they are not recognised in the software centre...
I'm having a strange issue. Currently I have Lync 2010 standard deployed in my environment. With the Lync client (v. 4.0) the automatic sign-in works fine. BUT, with my OCS R2 client, the automatic sign-in isn't working. Any idea why this might be?
I've set up a lab with 3 machines (2 Win7, 1 Win8) with the host being Win2008R2 acting as the DC (ADUC installed etc..).
I've created a software package GPO and linked it to my domain:
Here's the problem I'm having, I cant get the deployment to work.
I have a VPN with WinServer2003 on the host side and Vista (x64) as the client.
The Vista client (192.168.0.nnn) connects daily to the VPN to backup all the machines on the host side (10.1.nnn.nnn).
