I'm looking for a good linux file and application finder (prefer a file finder but I know some apps search both files AND apps. I've had a VERY hard time finding something that does this.
Hi guys,Small problem. I installed Synapse from the AUR and I don't want to see the icon in the notification area. But if I make the change in the Synapse preference it switches back to default settings the next time the program starts. Is there a config file for Synapse that I can edit?
I want to solve this problem and thought about trying activity-log-manager to edit Zeitgeist log (or something like that, if I use the right terms).
I have Zeitgeist 0.9.5 installed and Synaptic allows installing activity-log-manager v. 0.9.4. I have installed it. It is visible in main menu, in usr/bin/ as well as in /usr/share/applications/, also the Launcher Synapse sees it.

I installed alacarte and used that to try and add an application launcher for Sublime Text, but I got an error half way through. Now I've got a launcher in my menu that links to a non existent file, without an icon. It doesn't show up in alacarte, and I searched in /usr/share/applications and it doesn't show up there. I cannot find any reference to it on my computer, yet still it's there.
