The new version of my favorite CD/DVD burning software is out. Its the new Nero Burning ROM 10. Nero has many years experiences is burning software and the latest version is 10. In this release, Nero include many important updates and GUI redesign, new nice progress bar, icons and many more.
I just brought a CD writer.
It has nero for windows bundled with it.
I found nero very easy to use as well as usefull..
I then see that wht we have in linux..
I found that in my Redhat 9 i have two CD writers software but both are no where nare nero...
So is there any GUI based cd writingn software which can stand with NERO.. ??
New version of Ashampoo Burning Studio 10 is out. Even it still beta version, you can download and try the full version of Ashampoo Burning Studio 10. This software is the best alternative to Nero Burning ROM. I have been using this burning software for many years and its very good in performance.

I'm using XP, SP3, on a Pentium 4, 2.80 Ghz, 2 Gb RAM. It has a second partition (E) with 20+ Gb free space.
Having got Ubuntu going nicely on my newer machine, I'm now ready, I think, to install 12.0.4 LTS on this partition. I have downloaded ubuntu-12.04.3-desktop-i386.iso
[741,343,232 bytes] and want to create the CD.
I've had most success with Nero, Start Smart so I got going.
Nero Linux is currently reach version 4. There are many updates on this version. Now, if you install this Nero 4 on your Linux, there will be two separate program. Its Nero Linux and Nero Linux Express. Both are usable and very easy to use, almost the same with the Windows version.
