Here's how you can install Wine 1.7.1 to your 32-bit or 64-bit Elementary OS 0.2 Luna computer. This tip also works for Ubuntu 12.04 and Linux Mint 14.
Elementary OS Luna is based on the long term support release Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin. Which mean it will receive official security updates and packages from Ubuntu until April 2017. Unlike the previous version of Elementary OS Jupiter which based on Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat non-LTS release, it usually received official security updates for 2 years.
elementary OS “Luna” 0.2 is now out and the developers haven't disappointed since the previous Beta versions. elementary OS 0.2 is based on Ubuntu, but it would be very hard to notice it. The version numbering might seem strange, but a lot of work has gone into the operating system and the distribution might be considered stable.
I have a problem regarding overheating with my newly installed Elementary OS Luna. This used to happen before, when i was using Ubuntu, as well as on Linux Mint. On earlier versions of Ubuntu I used Jupiter, and then on later versions transferred to TLP.
Does anyone know what to type in Luna OS terminal in order to install TLP and manage heat?
