Do you think you could have created AVATAR if you don’t had to pay hefty sum for the licenses of Autodesk 3D max or the Adobe Creative Suite they may have used . Then here is Free and Open Source 3D content application for you. Yeah , it’s BLENDER 3D. (I know my earlier promise is a bit exaggeration )
Hi guys,
I installed blender 2.63a from ppa a few months ago and had no problem with it until yesterday.
When I click on it's icon Blender opens it's windows ( I have two as I use dual screens ) and then it shuts down with a report window after.

Any idea's on what could be hap
As Susan covered last week, Blender, the very flexible 3D animation application, was updated to version 2.6.4 a few days ago. "This release was targeted at improving Blender for the Mango open movie project, along with integrating branches and patches from the past years," noted the Blender Foundation.
Blender Foundation, the developer of Blender, an integrated 3D creation software suite, has announced that their software has reached version 2.65.
Blender 2.65 is a massive update and it was deemed by the developers as the most stable release in the 2.6 branch, with over 200 bug fixes.

Hello folks I hope someone here can help me. I have been using Linux Mint for a little over 2 years now and have gotten used to it. However because of some kernel and compatibility problems I had to install Xubuntu 11.10.
Now my problem is that I need to install blender 2.63a which is the latest. I have downloaded it and unpacked it to my home folder as I have always done in Mint.
Coming from Kino, Blender's "Video Sequence Editor" is a huge step up. Most people don't think of Blender when considering video editing tools, but in fact, Blender contains a very good one. This is not a separate application but an editing mode within the Blender application. It can work directly with animated scenes created within Blender or with video footage from other sources.
Hello
I want to learn the new interface for Blender version 2.58
I originally wanted to learn using Lynda.com's blender essential but the have not released the DVD for Blender 2.6 Essential Training
My Question for you is. Is there another way to learn Blender that goes into depth like Lynda.com
I found this site: http://sagefans.net/
They seem to have many good videos.
