So, I installed the xubuntu-desktop package on my Lubuntu netbook, but when I went to login to a xubuntu session nothing happened. The screen simply went momentarily blank and then came up with the original login screen again.
I tried with xfce session and got the same result.
I know this is probably a bit of a newbie question but i'm having a little trouble installing any cursor themes. I extract the archives contents to /usr/share/themes but when i go to Menu>Settings>Mouse and touchpad>themes all i see is default.

I would like to be able to unhide the XFCE panel by pressing a key instead of placing the mouse cursor at the edge of the screen.
I'm running Xubuntu 12.04 but updated to XFCE 4.10
Hello!Currently and since May 2012, Xfce 4.10 on Debian is only available on the Experimental repository and only its Core packages. Please forgive me if this question has already been asked. I've just installed the newest BPO image on a fresh partition and have installed XFCE in place of Openbox (nothing personal - I just prefer it). Now I'm trying to customize it (i.e. make it look like #!
