[lubuntu] USB problems when switching OS's in Dual Boot

http://ubuntuforums.org – I'm currently dual booting Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 Gnome Shell Remix. On a newly built machine. Everything is working amazing except for my keyboard and mouse when switching OS's. If I'm in Ubuntu and restart into Windows 7 many times the mouse will not work or at the least the scroll wheel until I disconnect and reconnect the USB dongle for the mouse. This happens in reverse as well (Restarting from Windows into Ubuntu). Also happens with the keyboard but not as often. Every other USB device works perfectly. Has anyone seen this before? thanks, Rick (Hardware)

i have a microsoft wireless mouse and a usb hp keyboard attached to a Belkin kvm switch almost identical to this one . I also have a regular ps2 keyboard attacehd (always works) to my ubuntu box (one box is windows and one is ubuntu natty).

Hi, I just installed ubuntu 11.10 alongside with windows 7, I have the both operativesystems on two different partitions. But when I start up ubuntu my ordinary mouse and keyboard doesnt work, it's a razer naga mouse and a Microsoft sidewinder keyboard. If I unplug those and plugin an old mouse and keyboard I can log in to then unplug those and use my primary instead.

I'm trying to install 12.10 on my system, but my mouse and keyboard are not working during installation. I use the Logitech MX5500 Bluetooth mouse+keyboard combo with a Bluetooth dongle.

My keyboard and mouse work in my UEFI bios, and during the Windows 7/8 installation.

I'm having a keyboard problem, and have googled until my eyes were numb trying to find precisely this problem, or something close to it. My apologies if this has been asked and answered elsewhere.

I have a Logitech K800 keyboard and a Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX paired in Windows to a single Unifying receiver. They work great in both Windows and Mac. The mouse and keyboard work for some amount of time, usually 1-30 minutes, before dropping. If I press the volume or calculator buttons on the keyboard, both the mouse and keyboard drop.

Hey guys, I have a big question and I was wondering if any of you can help me out. I recently upgraded my Ubuntu 12.04 to 12.10. Upon booting it up, I have complete access to my keyboard and mouse. Hi, I'm having some problems with USB on Ubuntu Quantal. I have a USB mouse and keyboard, touchscreen and gamepad connected through a USB+DVI+audio KVM. Occasionally, the USB mouse would cease functioning until the machine is restarted, but the USB keyboard will still work fine. Switching to a console and running dmesg reports a barrage of hub_port_status failed (err = -110) messages.
