[lubuntu] Upgrade problems with Quantal

http://ubuntuforums.org – I suppose this is the right place for this new thread. I have recently upgraded from Lubuntu 12.04 to 12.10 beta 1, and now when I try to upgrade to beta 2, I get (both from the Software manager, and from the Terminal) the following messages: Code: W: Failed to fetch http://archive.canonical.com/dists/[distro]/partner/source/Sources  404  Not Found [IP: 91.189.92.150 80] W: Failed to fetch http://archive.canonical.com/dists/[distro]/partner/binary-i386/Packages  404  Not Found [IP: 91.189.92.150 80] E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignore (Hardware)

How is fix this problem?

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I've tried many different ways:

I downloaded the file on the Skype website, which returned me this error "Cannot install ia-32-libs"

I followed this instructions https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Skype and here is what I got:

I'm having issues installing programs because of package errors I have been getting, it seems to boil down to these being the offending entries...please tell me what to type in terminal to get rid of these errors!!

For the past week, whenever I try to update via the Update Manager, I get the following errors:

Code: [W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/pmcenery/ppa/ubuntu/dists/precise/main/source/S... 404  Not Found , W:Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/pmcenery/ppa/ubuntu/dists/precise/main/binary-i... 404  Not Found , E:Some index file

Here is what i get when trying to install the update: first I get a window message with all this:

I keep getting an triangle with a ! within it beside the mail icon.
